Besides moderating The Writer’s View, D’Ann blogs regularly at www.dannmateer.com and is one of the contributing “Inkies” at the new group blog.
D’Ann holds a B.A. in history from Southern Methodist University and lives in Texas with her husband and their three teenagers.
Leslie Wilson (Nonfiction)
Leslie, a former high school English teacher, has been writing, editing, and speaking full-time since 1999. Her first book, A Scrapbook of Christmas Firsts: Stories to Warm Your Heart and Tips to Simplify Your Holiday, co-authored with five other Word Quilters, debuted in October of 2008.
Leslie is currently agented by Rachelle Gardner with WordServe Literary. Her humor column, Reality Motherhood, has appeared each week in 13 Dallas-area newspapers for over five years. Additionally, her words have tickled readers of dozens of parenting magazines, as well as Chicken Soup for the Mother of Preschooler’s Soul (Health), I’m Glad I’m a Mom (Harvest House), and The Groovy Chicks’ Road Trip series (Cook).
She speaks to thousands each year at Hearts at Home conferences, MOPS groups, Early Childhood PTAs, Mothers of Multiples, and women’s conferences. Leslie, who pioneered the Rockwall Christian Writers Group in October of 2001, has also served on the faculty of several writers’ conferences. She enjoys mentoring new writers and speakers. Visit her at www.realitymotherhood.com or www.realitymotherhood.blogspot.com. Personally speaking, Leslie and Bret, her husband of 21 years, watch their three children play sports in Rockwall, Texas.
